Our Statement of Faith
We believe:
The Bible to be God-inspired, infallible, and the only authoritative Word. It is the only standard by which we live our lives. 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21
In One Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is eternal, Creator of all things, perfect in Holiness and infinite in power, knowledge, wisdom, love and goodness. Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22
Jesus is the Son of God. We believe in His deity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning blood shed for the forgiveness of sin, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven and His personal return in power and glory. He is the only way to heaven and the only name that can be called upon to gain eternal life. Isaiah 11:1-5; John 1:1, 14, 17:5, 20:28-29; Acts 4:12
The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus to empower us to do the same works He did. We believe in His indwelling, by which the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and operate in the gifts He has given. Just as the Father sent His Son into the world, now He sends us to be His ambassadors to a lost and hurting world. It is through the Presence of the Holy Spirit that we are able to carry this commission out. Luke 24:49; John 16:7-15; Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-4, 10:44-45; 1 Corinthians 12:11-12
In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. John 17:11, 21-23; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16
Our ministry is based on these scriptures from the Bible:
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ."
Matthew 22:37-40
"Jesus answered him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind'. This is the first and great commandment. And there is a second like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'. The whole of the Law and the Prophets depends on these two commandments."
Matthew 28:18-20
"But Jesus came and spoke these words to them, "All power in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. You, then, are to go and make disciples of all the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you and, remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
James 1:27
"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. "
